Jamberry Junior

OK so now that everyone knows how much I love my Jamberries it should come as no surprise that, as a mom of 3 girls, I have developed a knack for applying them to kiddy fingers.  What I have found is that
1. Kids hate holding their fingers up in front of a hot fan or blow drier.
2. Kids love having pretty nails.
3. The first time you apply Jamberries to your little girls fingers, she WILL pick them off within 24 hours.
Never fear.  Your hard work now will be rewarded later with hours and hours of deep mother daughter bonding that doesn't require a hefty fee to a nail professional to accomplish.
Sofia picked the first set off her nails within 24 hours.  The second set I applied lasted a full week.
We went with the watermelon and stripe combo, now retired, for our first juniors.  They are adorable!  I'm going to order some of the Halloween themed junior wraps ASAP so we can be ready for fright night in style.
I'm semi-obsessed with this one (Bright Imagination) so it will be making an appearance on a kid's hand near me very soon.
Applying nail wraps to little tiny fingers is just like applying them to adult nails so take your time, put the Disney station on Pandora and go for it.  As I mentioned, kids are not fans of the heater on their nails so get the wrap nice and hot before you apply it and press down firmly for a good seal.  It's a little easier than doing it on your own nails because you have both hands to work with so you can work a little quicker and make good use of the wrap while it's still very warm.
This kid is serious about her Jamberries being perfect

Is it absolutely necessary to purchase separate Jamberry Juniors for my child?
No.  I have successfully applied my regular sized wraps on my daughters several times and they came out great.  You can get away with about 2 fingers of a full wrap if you're willing to do a tiny bit of shaping and cutting.  Very thrifty.

This kid was chillaxing so well while she got her Jams done that she fell asleep.  (Azure Rose, adult wrap).
The only problem with putting my Jamberries on my kids?  They won't sit still long enough for me to get a good close-up of them.
So check out my online store (www.fingernailfetish.jamberrynails.net)
and get some Jamberry Juniors or regulars to do with a little girl in your life.  She will be thrilled and so will you.

Free Jamberry Sample Nail!

If you have not tried Jamberries yet, I invite you to do the Jamberry challenge.  And what is that, you ask?  Visit my Facebook page, Lauren's Jamberry page, Independent Consultant, message me your address and I will send you a free sample of Jamberries.  You follow the enclosed instructions for application (either on your fingernail or toenail) and then paint the rest of your nails a coordinating color.  Don't be surprised if something like this happens after a few days
See how all the other brands' wraps/polishes wore off and the Jamberry wrap (ring finger) was still going strong?  This is what you can expect for your own experiment.  Other nail "stickers" that you buy at your local drugstore just don't compare to the Jamberry product.  Nail polish doesn't hold a candle.  The ONLY similar product out there is available exclusively to salons and costs a pretty penny to have professionally applied to your nails.  Ain't nobody got time for that!  Jamberries are easy to apply yourself in the comfort of your own home with no fumes.  Other ways of obtaining a sample: email me at ocholaur@gmail.com.  I will not share your email or physical address with anyone.

jamberry Nail Wraps for Beginners

I've been using jamberry nail wraps for awhile now and have absolutely fallen in love with them.  The first time I applied them there were some issues, true, but I just knew as soon as I saw it on that I was going to make these things work.  My husband was struggling to understand what the big deal was and I told him, "Imagine 2 houses next to each other.  One is painted and the other one has vinyl siding.  Which one will last longer?"  "Ohhhh" he said.  Lightbulb.  Just like Gru in Despicable Me.  It's no different with your nails ya big goof!  Who wouldn't want to find a whole new way of dressing up their nails that is cost effective and hassle free and lasts and lasts and lasts?  It's like, when normal nail polished nails are going to bed, these things are still up partying for hours and hours more fun.
Some of my friends attended an online nail party with me and one of them ordered the French tips.  I DO NOT recommend these as your first purchase.  You have to order the correct tip length or they won't look right, and they are mostly clear so your own nail has to look nice in order for them to work.  I will be posting a tutorial for the best results with the French tips in the next week so he sure to check back if you are interested in learning how to get that perfect French manicure.
What I DO recommend for your first try with these is any of the chevrons, tigers, plaids and stripes.
Here is a photo of my first wrapped nail ever.

wrap: teal mini polka

Here it is after a week.

Here's my favorite jamberry design: prissy plaid.  I cannot even begin to tell you how many compliments and rave reviews I got on these things.  I highly highly recommend them as a beginners choice for anyone thinking about taking the nail wrap plunge.  The bad news is they will be going away very very soon but the good news is that the fall/winter collection will also be debuting very shortly (like, in the next few days) and I just know there will be tons of amazing new seasonally appropriate designs.

Here is a zebra stripe, a very nice neutral look, once again glammed up with some bling.
As you can see, I was not shy with my initial picks.  I got right on board and bought 4 different sheets and it was grew to be able to play around with them, rip them off after a few days and try something else.  They did no damage whatsoever to my nails and if anything they act as a protectant to help people who have a hard time growing a nail.
